Our Mission

SSE is a body designed to restore faith, mend broken hearts, empower women and men, and recover stolen smiles through conversation, connection, understanding, and release. We entertain the world one smile at a time.

Our Objective

In seasons to come, SSE intends to present the world with plays, cultural diversity programs, and collaborations with nonprofit organizations to bring help, enlightenment, and encouragement to all. SSE will make sure that every event, show, production, and performance is so captivating that someone is motivated to have a change of heart/mind to live, love, and laugh another day.

Ms. Jackson has dreams of mentoring troubled youth by providing them with an alternative way of releasing anger and replacing hate through exercising their own gifts in a positive way. She teaches writing and dance workshops as well as offers acting classes for people of eligible ages. She also offers one-on-one consultations for new writers looking for advice.

SSE has plans to open an event center that hosts a range of events. This venue is geared to expose upcoming design artists, provide a platform for performers to share their gifts, and offer a place for relief for young minority women gifted in performing arts. It will also be a place for after-school programs, summer camps, and seminars that all deal with self-esteem and growth. It can also host cooking classes for young mothers and/or parents. Ms. Jackson desires to use her gifts, talents, and treasures to mend people's hearts.

Ms. Jackson has been teaching theater as part of the after-school program of Texas Empowerment Academy Elementary since September 2016. Since her employment there, her students have performed in front of hundreds, including an encore performance request for the City of Austin’s African American Heritage program back in February 2018. She has helped her students overcome shyness, build their confidence, tap into their creativity, and understand they each have something to offer the stage and an audience.
